1:24 Scale Rooms

Our 1/2-scale NAME club all prepared mystery-themed small scale room boxes. My wife Ferbie created the professor for me. The lamp is by the Kummerows. I made and painted the sarcoughagus and room.

The Portrait (1995)

This 1995 diorama, The Portrait, was created in 1/2-inch scale (1:24). The room is based on a plan from the 1930s of a room for Colonial Williamsburg. The tile around the fireplace are all individually hand-painted with individual designs done using a magnifying glass. I painted the portrait for the room based on a 1780s painting. The exterior is a scene of Williamsburg in winter.
